Disney World: First Adults-Only Lounge at Epcot

Disney is once again elevating the guest experience with an exciting new addition coming to EPCOT. GEO-82, an all-new adults-only lounge, is set to open this year inside the park’s most iconic structure—Spaceship Earth. This sophisticated lounge promises a one-of-a-kind setting, offering breathtaking views, craft cocktails, and globally inspired small plates, making it the perfect spot to unwind after a day of exploring the park.

A First-of-Its-Kind Lounge at EPCOT

GEO-82 is breaking new ground as the first adults-only lounge at Walt Disney World. Guests 21 and older will soon be able to reserve a seat at this exclusive retreat, where they can sip on modern, handcrafted cocktails and indulge in a curated menu of small plates inspired by flavors from around the world. Whether you’re looking for a romantic evening or a relaxing escape with friends, GEO-82 is set to become a must-visit destination for Disney adults.

An Elevated Atmosphere with Iconic Views

Imagine sitting inside one of Disney’s most recognizable landmarks, surrounded by elegant metallic tones and intricate geometric designs that pay homage to Spaceship Earth’s striking architecture. At GEO-82, guests will experience an intimate and stylish ambiance with panoramic views of the stunning World Celebration gardens and the shimmering waters of World Showcase Lagoon.

The Future of Lounging at Walt Disney World

GEO-82 isn’t the only new lounge making its debut this year. Disney has also announced a Pirates of the Caribbean-themed tavern coming to Magic Kingdom, offering family-friendly fun with themed beverages and a lively atmosphere. While details are still emerging, it’s clear that Disney is embracing the demand for more immersive dining and drinking experiences across its parks.

My Thoughts. Your Thoughts?

As a parent, I know it would be difficult for me and my wife to experience the lounge unless we have other family members traveling with us that can watch the kids. I know there are many Disney adults out there who do Disney without kids, whether they are empty nesters, never had kids or don’t have kids yet. I was one of those and kind of still am, since I travel to Disney without my family, on occasion, being a travel advisor…you know, research. Will this lounge remain a kid-free location or will they change course and maybe follow a similar model as Hyperspace Lounge on the Disney Wish where kids are allowed during the day and then at certain point in the evening it switches over to adults only?

What do you think of having an adults only lounge at a place that is known to be “for kids” (although I disagree with that assumption)? Do you like the concept or do you think it’s a mistake by Disney? Will they hold true to their plan or will they cave to potential guest pressure they may face? Only time will tell. Stay tuned for more info on opening dates and when you can start making reservations.
